Halloween+2018

The week of Halloween has arrived! Our School Council Monster Mash is this Wednesday and here is the schedule. Take a look and let me know if there are any issues.

On Nov. 1st there is a change to the Non-Contact Support Schedule. We are going to students who received a ‘Progressing with Difficulty’ on the progress report. See interventions in the document. If you had any students who received a ‘Progressing with Difficulty’, please complete the linked form. These are students who are not on an IEP.

I had placed a document in all of your mailboxes called Renewing the Promise. Denise Andre and Archbishop Prendergast, S.J., have together written a letter in support of Catholic education in our province. Please take a look.

Thanks for everyone who participated in the Third Path PD session today. Hope the discussion was a good one for all who attended. We will certainly be doing more on the Third Path this year and there will more opportunities to dive deeper into it and see what we can get going here at St. George. I know it was a struggle to get everyone covered with all that was going on. We all appreciated everyone’s flexibility to make everything was covered on Friday. Thank you.

Progress reports are due to the office on Thursday. Grades 1-4 can go to Tim and Grades 5-6 to Christine.

Do you have a student that you think would benefit from getting a Halloween costume? If you do parents will be in the breakfast program room on Friday from 1:30 – 2:30 to help a child get a costume if they need it. You are invited to send students down during this time to look for a costume.

I saw this idea on Twitter this week. It was called a 30 Day Student Survey. Thought you may be interested. It would certainly give some interesting insights into students in your class.
