Summer Loading

Hard to believe that the last week of school is here. We do have a busy week planned and I know that it will just fly by.

Last Friday we had an incredibly busy day. Between celebrating Tracy’s retirement and the Gr. 6 Leaving ceremony it really was a very exciting day. Thank you to all of you that played such a large role in making Friday so memorable.

The following letter will go home with the report cards for students in Gr. 4-5. These will be copied for you and placed in your mailboxes.

So that you are able to do your transition meeting at any point next week you have access to your class through PowerTeacher. Christine will be sending out more information about this.

Friday is a PD Day. We are going to start at 8:30 AM and go to 2:30 PM. Of course if you need to stay later you are more than welcome to. Lunch will be provided for staff on Friday so no need to bring a lunch! You will have lots of time to have transition meetings and close up shop for the summer.

Enjoy the last week everyone. Especially Tracy!

4 more days to make a difference for the kids in our school!

Here is how the week is looking:

Monday: Play Day
Tuesday: Year End Liturgy 10AM, Strawberry Social
Wednesday: Report Cards go home
Thursday: Last Day of School and staff party at Tracy’s
Friday: PD Day 8:30 start time

A Bike

This was my favourite bike of the day from last Thursday! Thanks for helping to make the Bike Rodeo such a huge success! So many excited children and they were having so much fun.

There is supposed to be someone coming to fix the gym divider door on Monday morning at 8AM. We will let you know if it is up and running so we can get back in there.

The staff from Rosemount library are going to be coming this week to visit our classes and let them know what the are offering this summer. The presentation will take about 20 minutes and we will try and have 3 presentations. We will have this in the Learning Commons.

Tracy Retirement

Thursday night was a big night for Tracy! By the looks and sound of things she had a great time celebrating at the OECTA retirement celebration. Well done!

Principal’s have been asked to circulate the information below to all OECTA members regarding the August staff meeting.

Don’t forget about the School Council BBQ on Wednesday night. They are still looking for volunteers if you are free to help out. Please see the Volunteer Sign-Up Sheet
